Welcome
The Shepherd’s Place Children’s Home and Academy is available for school-age children from families in crisis who are in need of care. We provide a loving environment in which they can stay and get a quality education to help equip them for a bright future.
Our theme at The Shepherd’s Place is “There’s a Better Way.” In all of life’s challenges, there is always hope and a better way forward to be embraced.
We recently finished two new cottages to serve more young people and are finishing a new preschool building so we can take in preschool-age children. Thank you for your interest in helping us help children! We appreciate your prayers and support.
Facility Facts
- Main facility – 5,000 square foot 6 bedroom/6.5 bath brick living quarters with a spacious living room, playroom, and commercial kitchen
- 2 new cottages for family living – 2,200 square foot each
- New 5,000 square foot preschool building near completion
- Architectural plans for a new education and administration 10,000 square foot building on hand
- A farm pasture and barn with cattle being raised
The Cottages
The cottages are individual 2,200 square foot family-style homes. While unique in their layout, they both include 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a living room, a dining room, and a spacious kitchen furnished with appliances.
